Measurement and Automation Explorer Attribute error 0xBFF69011

Hi,

I'm trying to acquire video from a Gigabit Ethernet (GigEVision) camera.  This camera shows up in MAX as a network device, but when I attempt to connect, I receive the error above: unable to get attribute.  I'm guessing this error arises because MAX requires some parameter to return a value, but I'm not sure how to determine what attribute cannot be gotten.  Is there a way to get a more specific look at what is causing the error?  Alternatively, is there a way to bypass this issue by allowing me to load the camera without all attributes populated?  I have version 14.5.0f0.  I've also tried viewing the camera in vision assistant with equal (un)success.

Thanks,

Brendan

Following your advice, I got to step three, which involved using the attribute validator.  I then created a new XML file that allowed me to acquire the camera in MAX,  i should note that with the originial attribute file, the camera was still available to OEM software, fwiw.  My understanding is that the latest release of IMAQdx, 14.5, is supposed to allow the user to ignore out-of-range attributes.  However, I'm not finding this setting within MAX or vision assistant.  Am I misunderstanding what the change is meant to do?
