I am actually trying to use NI 9263 output module to generate signals to control air pressure regulators. The problem is I can have desired voltages through labview but no reactions on the air pressure regulators, aiming to this, a group datasheet has been checked it seems that not enough current can be provided through NI 9263 (the maximum current can be up to ±1mA per channel from NI 9263 datasheet, this is lower than the operating current for the pressure regulators ). In this case, in order to function NI 9263 and the pressure regulators, do I need a current amplifier or can anyone provide appropriate solutions on this issue. Thank you!

Yes, you would need an external buffer. Could you please share the pressure regulator you're using and how you have wired them up?
Ideally, these are signal generators, they are not supposed to power up any actuator, if the actuator has separate power and signal pins, it may be fine as long as the actuator does not load the control signal significantly.

Hi Santhosh,
Thank you very much! the detail of pressure regulators have been attached please have a look. Before I found the problem, I connected the regulators to NI9263 directly which has been inserted in CDAQ 9178,
i.e. AO(output module) - regulator (positive socket/+); COM (output module) - regulator (negative socket/-). However, I disconnected them when I found NI9263 cannot provide power to operate the regulators.
In this case, are there any solutions from NI? e.g. could we buy a power supply or current amplifier from NI?
Thank you very much.

The easiest way - get a C-series current output module - pick one from this link https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/hardware/products/c-series-current-output-module.html
Spending extra time and external hardware to work around your limitations are not worth compared to just getting the appropriate c-series module.
Your actuators work with 4-20mA signal

Hi Santhosh,
I am working at the University of Bristol UK, if we order one of the C series current output modules, do you know how long will be for the delivery. Thank you very much!

That is a question directed towards NI Sales or the supplier you order from, unfortunately, I cannot comment on that.
