NI cDaq-9172 not recognizing modules that are plugged in

NI cDAQ -9172 is recognized in MAX under NI-DAQmx Devices but all slots show "Empty".  Running NI-DAQmx 8.9, NI-RIO 3.1.1, LabView 8.6, MAX 4.5.1f1.  Disconnecting and reconnecting USB cable and modules, and reseting device from Max has no effect.  Modules installed include NI 9401, NI 9263, NI 9211, and NI 9205.

Thanks for using NI support.  There is a useful KnowledgeBase here which has the most common troubleshooting steps for recognizing NI hardware.  One thing I would verify first is that you are able to see your device in Windows Device Manager.  Refer to section 2 under software compatability in the KnowledgeBase article above for information on how to do this.  Try this out and let me know if you are still running into issues.

Have a great day,

Hey Rihanmalik,

This forum is over 6 years old. Go ahead and create a new forum post desciribing your issue and what modules you're using (and screenshots if possible) and we can assist you on your new post!

Thanks!
