Older firmware versions for sbRIO (9627)

Solved!
Go to solution

I think I've identified a bug in an older firmware version (4.0.0f0) is there a way to get the *.cfg file for that firmware so I can verify that it's just in that version and not in the current version. FYI, the bug is in setting the local time.

The firmware is included in the version of the RIO driver that you have installed, so you would need to downgrade the driver in order to access the older firmware. What version of the CompactRIO driver did you have installed when you found the bug?

I don't understand your question. I'm using the latest cRIO driver (2019SP1) which includes 7.0.0f0. 4.0.0f0 is the "shipping" version that came with the RIO from the NI factory. My plan is to update to the latest after we get them from the factory. In order to validate that plan I need to take a unit back down to 4.0.0f0.

So you received the factory sbRIO that had the 4.0.0f0 firmware, found the bug, upgraded to 7.0.0 firmware, and now don't see the bug, correct? So you want to downgrade back to the 4.0.0f0 firmware to see if the bug reappears?

What I was trying to say is that NI doesn't have any way to access the firmware except by installing the older CompactRIO driver that contains that firmware. You could even install the older driver on a different computer and then copy over the 4.0.0f0 cfg file.

I believe 16.0 should have that firmware.
