PXI-6682 ethernet adapter not recognized by RT

I have a PXI-8176 controller and PXI-1031 chassis with a PXI-6682 Timing Module installed in slot 2.  The problem is that in the MAX 6682 test panel, the 1588 tab shows the ethernet adapter as unconfigured.  I have tried everything I can think of but cannot find any clue as to how to assign this adapter an IP address.  I presume it is done in the rt startup so perhaps there is an ini file to do this.

That is normal. The ip address is not configurable. It will be assigned automatically. I don't think there is any ini file that will have your ip address.

Actually I found that the IP address of the PXI-6682 is indeed configurable by going into MAX and within the PXI properties

there is an advanced ethernet option which contains the configuration options.
