PXIe-5785 stuck with error -304316 after LV crashed

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello there,

I've a PXIe-5785 transceiver module that it is stuck after LV crashed on the Host controller PC. Crash happened perhaps due to intense FPGA-to-Host data transfers and following processing. Since then, I cannot open any lvbitx bitfile on that board. Tried rebooting the host PC several time already. NI MAX reports self-test is successful.

I’m in desperate need for your help since, once again, there is not proper documentation for solve this problem.

The "Wait for IO Ready" VI after the "Open FPGA VI Reference" immediately fails (regardless of the timeout value) and returns as io error the value -304316: «The IO module PLL did not lock to the provided reference in time. Please check your cable connections and system configuration and try again.»

Ty for your help!

Ty for your reply.

Tried already, same story. Any FPGA design, same error form the FlexRIO APIs.

I would then call NI support.  The product may be damaged.

Hello, for the sake of tracking down this problem and help other devs in same tight spots in the future, this obscure problem was solved by powering down the PXI system (not just rebooting). Unplugging the card from its slot was not necessary.

I was not able till today to have a person go physically restart the machine because I have no physical access to the facility where the PXI chassis is located.
