Powering sbRIO 9602 from 25V battery

Hi folks, I'm looking to run an sbRIO 9602 as the "brains" of a robot with a ~25V battery supply and am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to the best way of going about joining the two together. I'm particularly concerned with limiting any current/voltage spikes that may leak through due to the battery also driving the robot's motors. I also have little faith that the battery can meet the < 20mV ripple stated in the datasheet.

Any and all suggestions would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Andy

Hello Andy,

The powering of the RIO will require 19-30V and 6W of power, therefore using your 25V battery you will need to be able to draw 240mA. I you are having problems with fluctuations in the voltage of your battery perhaps you could implement some external circuitry to prevent this, however I cannot advise on what this could be. Perhaps you could ask a colleague or supervisor for their suggestions. Sorry I could not be of more help.
