I'm looking for a cheap Real-Time compatible card. ( <$50) I've looked here to find compatible chipsets, but its hard to find a card based on a chipset alone. Very few resellers list the chipset. It needs to be a PCI card compatible 8.6, and I'd like if I could buy it from Newegg or Tigerdirect.
Thanks!

Thanks for pointing me to this NIC, as was looking for one as well.
Does anyone know of any more alternatives? Is there a nice list somewhere?
Finding cards based on chipsets is proving somewhat difficult for me. It's doable, just a little time consuming as I'm reverse-looking up cards based on chipsets. (but maybe I'm doing it wrong)

Hi Weizbox,
Finding cards based on chipsets is difficult. The best way to do this is by calling the manufacturer direct. The is a small list of LabVIEW Real-Time Desktop ETS Validated Hardware Components here.
Best Regards,

Thanks Starla!
Hope that list gets longer as it certainly would help a lot of us who build RT desktops 🙂

Here's another place to look too:

I know this is an outdated thread but just in case anyone else comes along across this thread with the same problem here are a few links to help out.
Since most of the network adapters are intel, here is a link to intel's list of chipsets each model number has (scroll down a page):
http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-012904.htm?wapkw=pila8460mblk20
First go to newegg and bring up a list of potential adapters, then search for the model number on the list from the link above, find the chipset number listed under "more information"
It also has the product ID listed as well.
for example:
RJ45, 10/100/1000, PCI-e, 82574L
VendorID:8086, DevID: 10D3
Then search for the chipset number on NI's list here:
