Reset cRIO 9074 to factory settings

Hello,

In the lab we have an old NI cRIO 9074 (firmware version 3.1.2) on which an admin password has been set which has been lost over the years.

I want to install new drivers/software on it which is thus not possible. I'm aware the cRIO only supports up to Labview 2019, which is the current Labview version installed on lab pc. If I'm not mistaken Labview 2016 software is loaded onto the cRIO.

I have tried different options to have it restarted in factory settings so the password is removed, but none of the options worked. When a password is asked for I know in factory settings the default password is blank.

The cRIO 9074 has a number of dip switches

What I tried, according to suggestions I find online:

1) With all dip switches off: pressing reset button 5 or more seconds --> Nothing happens. Password needed to Format disk or to add/remove software

2) With all dip switches off: pressing reset button while cRIO is starting up --> Same

3) With Safe mode dip switch on --> Same when 1) and 2) are executed

Can someone guide me through the correct procedure to get the cRIO usefull again?

Kind regards
