Hi All,
I was looking for some guidance regarding reading multiple temperature points. For the project I am about to take on, I need to read 8 temperature points. I know that National Instruments has their options for thermocouples. I tend to like the USB method but it is somewhat limited I believe to 1 or 2 thermocouples. They also have other more expensive options.
I wanted to keep my options open and was curious if anyone recommends any other thermocouple solution that interfaces with Labview......such as Omega. I know NI's solution would work but I am trying to keep spending in check. Thanks for the input.

Thanks Mark,
I appreciate the response. That looks promising. It will definitely do what I need. Have you used these devices in the past? If so, which model and have they been reliable?

They're ok, fine for benchtop use. Are you also aware of the single NI single card card carrier C-DAQ ?

you can drop in a 16 channel NI 9214 TC module into that. It runs off USB.
There is also the FieldDAQ which is waterproof, if you need something that will live outdoors.

Mark,
Thank you for the information. No I was not aware of those devices. I am trying to keep the costs down though. I appreciate the information. The MC is much more in my price range.
