Unable to Detect cRIO-9047 in Project Explorer

Hello,

I am currently trying to test/deploy some LabView code onto the cRIO-9047 Via the Dual Role port on the chassis. I am trying to figure out why I cant detect or choose the cRIO as a option in the Project explorer. I am able to detect the cRIO chassis in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) but I am stumped as to why it isn't an option in deploying, I only have the option to connect via ethernet.

Below I also attached images of the cRIO-9047 firmware that is installed as well as images of the Version of LabView and supporting software (FPGA, RT Module, NI cRIO) that is installed in our development laptop.

I'm not sure if I am incorrect in my method of deploying the code or if there is a problem with the software/ drivers I have installed in the cRIO or even the Laptop. If anyone has any insight that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Please note that this laptop also is not to be connected to the internet or ethernet, so any installations would have to be done offline.

Regards,

Jayremiah

From the color of the LabVIEW icon, you are using 64-bit LabVIEW.

cRIO is not supported in 64-bit LabVIEW until 2022.

Hey ZYOng,

I was wondering what version of labview I can run given the firmware/ software that is currently on the cRIO. I currently tried installing the 2020 32 bit SP1 version, but I am met with the error as seen in the attached file. I was trying to follow the following compatibility table, but it seems like its incorrect.

CompactRIO Device Driver and LabVIEW Version Compatibility - NI

My plan now is to install LabView 2022 Q3, 32 bit version, but if there is anything I'm missing I'd appreciate any help on the matter.

Image (8) shows the cRIO has System Image 2022 Q4 installed. You need to install LabVIEW 2022, or download and install the System Image that is compatible with LabVIEW 2020:

NI Linux RT System Image Download - NI

Once the system image is installed on the Windows PC, you can install it on the cRIO from NI MAX. You will need to right-click on the Software heading and select the appropriate item from the shortcut menu.

My recommendation is to install LabVIEW 2022.

Hi AustinMan,

I downloaded LabVIEW 2022 Q3 32 bit version as recommended but I still get the following errors appearing when trying to deploy code onto the cRIO-9047 as seen in the image below. I am wondering what I can do to remedy this, preferably keeping to the 2022 Q3 labVIEW installation on the laptop. I am wondering if this has something to do with the firmware installed on the cRIO-9047 chassis or if it is something else I am missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Jayremiah
