Hi,

I have upgrade my cRIO-9049 drivers from 19.6 to 20.5

But after installation, the CRIO not responding (led 1 in green fixed and led 2 in orznge blinking 2 times).

I see in MAx (discoverMax.png).

I try to format the hard drive but i have error message "Disabled to open a session. chack cable... and not in safe mode." I cann't change mode.

How to force formating or reset factory ?

Thanks

Johan

Hi Johan,

You will want to check and make sure that the host computer is on the same subnet as the cRIO, and you will want to verify that you have the same version of all the required software. NI recommends that you install the software in this order: LabVIEW 2020, RealTime 2020, FPGA 2020, cRIO 20.5.

Here is the cRIO-904x User Manual for reference.

This issue is currently being addressed internally by NI technical support.

I am posting the current progress here and will update this topic once it is fully resolved to make the solution available for everyone.

J.caillet is utilizing a VM, and issues arose after updating LabVIEW and drivers. After attempting to force a reformat with a USB stick, it was no longer possible to install software on the cRIO. The problem appears to be resolved by bypassing the VM and establishing a direct USB connection with the cRIO. The standard installation procedure was completed without using any VM.

Hi Apex_Waves,

Thanks for your time and your answer.

My problem is fix with NI. My VM lose connection with cRIO at each restart. It's solved with another PC.

Best regards

Johan
