I have a cRIO-9074 with two NI 9512s in slots one and two, two NI 9870s in slots three and four, nothing in slot five, two NI 9207s in slots six and seven and an NI 9264 in slot eight. It is running the most recent 2013 software set (details attached) and runs just fine after a clean install. The problem starts when a SoftMotion axis is deployed via LabVIEW. Everything seems to work fine until the cRIO is rebooted at which point it crashes twice with a software error and boots into safe mode (console out before and after deployment is attached). This issue did not arise while the cRIO was running a software set from 2011.
Another strange thing about this error is if the cRIO contains three or fewer modules, it boots without error. This seems to point to some resource (memory?, stack?) being used up.
Any insight on this problem would be much appreciated.

Hello,
It does sound like a resource conflict could be occurring here. I know that on the 9074 chassis only slots 1-4 are configured as HSI (high speed interface) slots as required by the 9512 modules, but if you are using slots 1, 2 for the two 9512 modules then I don't think this is our problem. Does the SoftMotion axis seem to work successfully before the reboot? That is, have you been able to enable an axis and observe any axis movement?
