The PCI-6071E is a multiplexed DAQ board. Each channel is sampled one after the other. However, there are 2 clocks on this device that allow the user to implement what is referred to as interval scanning. The scan clock controls the time between when the first channel is scanned and when it is scanned again. The channel clock controls the sampling time between each channel. If the scan rate is slow enough, and the channel rate is fast enough, pseudo-simultaneous scanning can be implemented.
In addition, signal conditioning devices are available that allow you to implement true simultaneous sampling. An example of one of these devices is the SC-2040. Another option is to purchase a board that implements a simultaneous architecture like the PCI-6110 or 6111.
