ethercat won't work with fiber optic connection

I'm working on a system with a cRIO chassis and three Ethercat chassis'.  If I have all four chassis connected with ethernet cables, I have no problem communicating.  However, I'd like to use fiber optics to connect the second ethercat chassis with the last ethercat chassis, rather than use a long ethernet cable.  I haven't been able to get this to work.  The fiber optic converters are okay, I've tested them.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hi JFMoynihan,

Which version of the NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT are you using?  In the Readme file for version 2.3, it says...

"Fixed a latency issue caused by using fiberoptic converters in an EtherCAT network"

Hope this helps!
