need helpf about desktop PC recommendations for Real-time ETS

Hi,
      We want to buy a new desktop PC for real-time target (ETS), Could you give us some recommendations? We have another experimental setup using Dell Dimension 4550 and it works good. However, it is out of date and it is difficult to find one. The new Dell computer is using SATA hard disk drive, is it still fine?

Hi Yigyang,

I've also been informed by R&D that Dells with SATA would work if you can run them in PATA mode. The option to do this HW emulation isn't advertised, you have to ask Dell tech support if the motherboard supports it.
