HI,
I am using SCXI-1540 LVDT module,I have to read analog Voltage (+/-10V),will it be possible through this module if i do not give exitation to LVDT module,
Warm Regards

Hi Rss,
I think you are going to have a tough time making sensible pure voltage measurements with the LVDT device. In the typical use case, the AC excitation goes out to the transformer and the analog inputs on the device carry the same AC frequency, but just with varying amplitudes. The hardware then demodulates the AC waveform to a low frequency/DC type voltage. So... probably using the 1540 directly for pure voltage measurements is going to be a tough problem to solve because of the demodulation circuitry.
Are you not able to use an associated E- or M-series device for your voltage measurements?

Hello sir,
I have connected LVDT with 1540 module with SCXI. I have made right connection to 1315 TBX.(4 wire connection I am using). I am unable to get sensible data. I tried by changing all my components with new one even though I am not able to get sensible data . As I moved the LVDT armature the data is not varying . So plz help me to solve this problem as it is very urgent for my project work
