Attempting to Read Simple Current Signal In LABVIEW, bad reading depends on Max/Min Input Settings

Hi All:

I am attempting to read a 4-20 mA signal using a SCXI-1303 Terminal Block/SCXI-1102/SCXI-1000 channel connected to a NI PCI-6280. I am running LABView 8.6 with 32-bit Windows Vista. I have set up a channel using the DAQ assistant in labview to read a 4-20 mA signal with a 249 ohm resistor. When I run the VI I get a low reading. If I change the channel to a voltage reading and set the Max/Min to +5/-5 V, I get the voltage corresponding to the low reading. If I set the Max/Min to +10/-10V I get the correct voltage corresponding to the correct current reading. What could be causing this? I had been running this VI for a while fine with the Current channel set up using DAQ assistant. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Brian.Fronk,

What specifically are your readings that your receiving?  What value are you expecting?  Does this hold true on all channels?  Let me know and I'll try to help you sort out your issue.

Regards,
Dustin D
