Can I use an SCXI-1121 module with 4-20ma signal sources

I would like to use a 4-20ma signal as the input to an SCXI 1121 module with an SCXI-1321 terminal block. Is it possible to connect a 4-20ma signal into this module with damaging anything.

Rehbein,

Sure, you can. The module is suitable for reading that type of signals without a problem at all. You should check the User Manual for further information:

Hope this information is helpful.

Hello;

I don't see why you couldn't. For more information about your hardware, you can download the Users Manual for free from www.ni.com.

I think you have to add a resistor over the screw terminals to convert the current signal to volts. For instance a 500 ohm resistor will convert a 4-20mA current to 2-10V
