Configuration problems

I am fairly new to using NI products. I currently have a PCI-4060 connected to a SCXI-1000 with a 1127 and 1131 installed. After installing the drivers to recognize everything, the 4060 is found and just fine. However, I cannot insert the 1127 (through the software) into the scxi-1000 list in module 1. The error message is that "there is nothing in slot 1". I have tried several ways to install/insert the 1127 into the software and have had no sucess.

I have used both the drivers that came with the hardware and the latest off of the web site.

One more thing to add to this. This equipment was purchased two years ago and never used. So I got it tossed upon my shoulders to get a good ROI for my company.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi scot,

You need to detect your SCXI modules from a DAQ card by configuring the SCXI channels to be acquired by the DAQ card in either parallel or multiplexed mode

You should use either Eseries or Mseries DAQ cards( may be a few other types of cards too, but not too sure which series they are) to detect/ configure SXCI channels

But you cannot use a PCI4060 DMM for this purpose

It 4060 and 1127 are compatible

and SCXI 1127 can be controlled by PCI 4060 DMM
