Connecting the SCXI-1303 block to SCXI-1000 Chassis

I am trying to connect a SXCI-1303 to a SXCI-1000 with a SH96-96 cable. I would like to mount the SCXI inside an enclosure and the SCXI-1303 outside the enclosure. However, the ends of the ends of the SH96-96 are so big to route through a hole that can be grommented. (There is going to be very large hole.)

I was was told that I would loose signal strength (additional contact resistance) if I add an AMP panel mount / solder connector.

I cannot be the only person with trying to remote mount the SXCI-1303.

Plus I'm seeing the same problem with route cabling between the SCXI-1000 and the DAQ board in the computer.

Help.

Hello,

With the addition of the SH96-96 cable, you are increasing the length of wire over which the unconditioned signal is subjected to noise. If you can accept this loss of accuracy, then you should not have a problem reading signals in this configuration.
The maximum cable length between the PC and the SCXI Chassis is 10m. Anything under that should work correctly.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Regards,
Sean C.
