How can I acquire 0-10vdc signal on a PXI-6221 card when it is used by SCXI-1520 in a combo chassis PXI-1052 at the same time

My hardware is :-

PXI 1052 combp chassis - 1no.

PXI 6221 M series multifunction card with scb 68 connector box - 1set

SCXI 1520 (strain card) with + SCXI 1314 connector box - 1 set

Aim :- To acquire strain signal from SCXI 1520 and acquire 5 nos. 0-10 vdc signals from SCB 68 simaltanously.

Probelm:- When I try to acquie 0-10 vdc signal by mentioning PXI 6221 ai chnnels, i got message "Specific resources are reserved"

Please tell me the solution!

Hi S_Kanchap,

The PXI 6221 uses ai0 for SCXI in multiplexed mode. So if you use any other analog input line and make sure the 1520 is operating in mulitplexed mode, you should be able to use all your other analog input lines.

Please let me know if this works.

Thanks Abhinav for quick reply, although I am checking in multiplexed mode and I have checked ai1 to a17.

Yet I will check it again after going to my site in a day or two.

Hi S_Kanchap,

Please ensure that you have added the voltage and strain channels to the same NI-DAQmx task.

I tested your setup and got the error you are receiving only when I made 2 separate tasks for them. As soon as I added them to the same task everything worked correctly.
