How can I show data from more than one channel at once with only one DAQ-MX VI?

I have need to know how to show voltage readings from multiple channels at once and further need to record both voltages at once into a data file together.  I can see both channels on the graph on the front panel but cannot get the numerical data to show for the second channel. Thanks for your help!

Since you mention that you are seeing the data from both the channels on the graph, I assume that you are performing DAQmx AI acqisition operation correctly and obtaining data from both the channels, in one of following formats: DDT, 2D array or waveform array

Now wire your Chart to the DAQ function.

I guess you have alreay selected, Visible items>> Digital display

Now, increase the number of plots in the plot legend, using cursor tool and you will have as many digital display inticators as the number of plots in plot legend

Hope this helps

Dev

Thank you for your suggestion It worked perfectly.  Now, I was wondering if I could get the data from all the channels to write into one data file.  Again I am only getting the data from the first channel to be written to the file.

Hi Jessica,

The LabVIEW example finder has a great example program for storing data, Cont Acq&Graph Voltage - Write Data to File (TDMS).vi (Find >> Examples… >> Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx >> Analog Measurements >> Voltage). The developer zone linked below may also help you get started.
