How do I connect an angular speed proximity transducer to my 5B45 module?

I am a beginner in virtual instrumentation and I don't know how to connect a magnetic proximity transducer to my 5B45 conditioning module in order to measure a shaft angular speed. My measuring system also consists of: 5B08 eight module backplane, SC-2050 adaptor and a 6024 E DAQ board. Is anybody who could help me? Thanks

Hi,
You may find a lot of information by going to www.ni.com/support and type the keyword 5b there.

I hope your magnetic proximity transducer generates some sort of signal (voltage or current) which you can easily connect to the analog input terminals of your 5B series block. So it would be nothing but just a voltage or current meaurement and the converting back to the actual physical value.

Sincerely,
Sastry V.
