How to obtain current readings with an SCC-FT01?

I was using an SC-2345 and a DAQPad-6015 and I wanted to take a current reading using an SCC-FT01 module.  I have the module hooked up in a circuit right now with the CH+ hooked to a load, and the CH- hooked to the positive terminal of the power supply.  The load is then connected via the negative terminal to the negative terminal of the power supply.  When I run the circuit, I get an open circuit at the SCC-FT01 module.  Is there any type of customization that I need to do prior to getting current readings on this module? If so, what are they?  Thanks in advance.

Hi krk30,

The SCC-FT01 Feed Through module does not natively measure current. What you will have to do is use a precision resistor across the inputs to your FT01 and measure the voltage instead. This way you can use V=IR to measure the current flowing through the resistor. Below is a diagram of how you can do this:

Hope this helps!
