I need to change the range of input voltage in my 'DAQ assistant'

Hello, I have a labview program that reads an LVDT with a range of +/- 2 V.  Currently the 'DAQ assistant' in my block diagram only lets me make the range +/- 100mV.  I don't know how this got changed, but I need to change it back.  I went into the 'Measurement and Automation' to try and change it but it would not let me.  I am using a SCC-SG04 module with a SC-2345 signal conditioning box and a 6036E card.
Please post a message if you know how I can change the range so that I can read the whole +/- 2 V.
Thank you

Hi AaronJudge,

Welcome to the NI discussion forums.  I have a suggestion about what may be occurring.  You mentioned that you are using SCC-SG04 module with a SC-2345 signal conditioning box. Do you have the LVDT connected to the SCC-SG04?  If so, then you will not be able to change the range above +/- 100 mV.  The SCC-SG04 is a full bridge strain gauge input module.  It has a fixed input range of +/- 100 mV.

In order to read the full range of your LVDT you will need a different setup.  According to this Knowledge Base (Is There an SCC Module that Can Be Used with an LVDT?) there is not currently an SCC module that provides both the excitation requirements for most LVDTs.  If you have and external excitation source an SCC-AIxx module could be used.  There may be other options as well that do not use SCC.
