I wish to use SCXI-1530 for piezo resistive acceleration measurement

I am using SCXI-1000, SCXI-1530 for acceleration measurement. My accelerometers are on ENTRAN USA, make and they are piezo resistive. (They do not need any excitation from SCXI-1530 and give mV output. Thus my requirement is to measure mV signal from these sensors using SCXI-1530.
My problem is that both my sensors have gone bad after few hours of working with SCXI-1530. I want to know if there is any way by which SCXI-1530 is damaging my sensors. As these sensors do not need any excitation from SCXI-1530 (We have put excitation off from MAX)..It might be causing some problem.

As long as you have turned the off excitation for those channels on SCXI-1530, there is not any circuitry that should damage your accelerometers. The amplifier coupling is AC and the input impedance of the amplfier is 1 MOhm.

If you are using virtual channels, make sure that you are not specifying an excitation current in the virtual channel configuration. The virtual channel settings will override any settings you have configured for the SCXI-1530 module in MAX.
