Load cell calibration with various gains

Hello,

I am anticipating a problem with some data that has been collected from a load cell. The load cell has been calibrated with known loads at a gain of 1000 db.

There is the unfortunate possibility that the gain was altered during data collection (potentially to 5000). My question is, in LabVIEW how can I:

1) check the gain of the signal?

2) fix this issue if it occurs....? Is there a "simple" way to normalize the signal to the gain? Or can I just re-calibrate the load cell at that gain level?

All thoughts are welcome. Please be kind.

I want a 1000 db amplifier !!

I have worked in the range of 1e6(+-2)  (PMTs :))   but never with 1e50! 😄 😄

Most modern amplifiers have a digital interface ...

Offset voltage ... noise level, could be indicators ...

Measurements that haven't been (comletely) documented where never done 😉

Usually one would need a calibration for each used setting.
