Max 2.2 causes memory dump on dell pc

Problem Description :
After loading labview 6.1 and the appropriate daq software,
I launched Max 2.2.
Max had found the PCI-1200 board in the pc along with the GPIB card.
I then proceeded to verify the PCI-1200 card along with the scxi shelf
attached.
The pc then proceeded to do a full memory dump and then locked up.
I have rebooted the PC many times launched Max to verify things and the pc
does
a memory dump every time.

Donald;

It's looking like you had a bad installation of NI-DAQ.
The best way to go about that is to uninstall completely all the NI Software you have there. Then, reinstall only NI-DAQ, and launch MAX afterwards.

If everything is fine, then you can go ahead and install Labview. However, make sure to choose the custom installation, and unselect the NI-DAQ option from the list.

Hope this helps.

I have tried what you suggested but I am still getting memory dumps.
I installed NI-DAQ on its own along with MAX.
I ran max and the PC stayed intact.
I then loaded labview unselecting NI-DAQ and the others I didn't want.
After installation and reboot I ran MAX and the system immediately went into a memory dump.

Would it have anything to do with the PNP settings of the Dell?

Your thoughts please.

Just another query,
Does the NI pci1200 card allow IRQ sharing?.
The dell sets the IRQ and it is shared with the video.
If the pci1200 doesn't allow sharing then is the only option to change PC's??

Donald.
