Dear all
I have a cylindrical microwave chamber that is designed to measure a substance by putting in the substance in the middle performing a frequency shift meaurement on it.
with various circuitary conditioning the signal, the array that i will recive will be amplitude verses frequency and will be in the form of a spike and that peak of the spike will be how the frequency shift is changed due to the material.
what is the best way to measure this spike in the most accurate way possible?
At the moment i chamber is still being built and i have simulated a y= exp(x**2) fucntion to give me a spike, with noise added.
i then use a polynomial fit to get the assiociatied frwquency. is this the best way to do it?
any help/suggestions would be much appriacted.
Chris
