SC-2345 and DIAdem

Hello all,

i want to measure some thermocouples, ICP acceleration sensors and other stuff with a SC-2345, DAQPad 6015 and DIAdem.
When creating DAQmx channels in MAX and use the DAQPad-channels, everything works, except that i have to scale in DIAdem.
When creating channels in MAX and selecting the SCC-module, create scaling and the like, then i can still measure the channel in DIAdem, but only one at a time.
As soon as i create a NI-DAQ-In block with two or more channels from MAX that reference to two or more SCC modules, the measurement does not start and gives this error:

The specified resource is reserved. The operation could not be completed as specified.

I only select one channel per SCC module, of course. Doesnt matter if i select two channels from first and second TC-02, one channel from ACC-01 and one from TC-02, one channel from ACC-01 and one from FT-01 or any other combination.
Remember, selecting only a single channel works fine in MAX and DIAdem.

Hi themad,

I am seeing the same issue. Both types of channels work fine with direct cabling to the card, but the SCC carrier does not work in DAC as you have described.

In testing in MAX and LabVIEW these channels can be operated at the same time, so it seems like this might be a limitation of DIAdem DAC. I will stay tuned on to this issue and will continue to look into possible options.

Hi themad,

i've done some test's with DIAdem DAC and DAQmx.
In general you can define more than one global channel in MAX and measure them in DIAdem DAC without defining a Task. That's different from LV.
But concerning the SCC carrier it seems that there is a bug. The National Instruments DIAdem DAC developer will check that in detail, but this task a little bit time.

Best Regards

Thx for you help with this.

I´ve called the support, and there is really a bug in DIAdem DAC.
A bugfix is being worked out.
