When using the 1127 switch, can I connect to input channels together?

If I am using the 1127 in 2x32 mode, can I connect 2 input channels (such as ch1 and ch23) using the Connect Channels function?

Schelgr,

When you say 2x32 mode, I assume you mean the switch is in 2-wire 32x1 multiplexer mode. If this is the case, it is not possible to connect two input channels together. Multiplexers are only capable of connecting their input channels (ch0 to ch31) to the common channel (com0). You may want to explore the possibility of using a matrix switch (which the 1127 is also capable of being) if you need to connect between channels instead of sending your inputs to a common output.

Sincerely,

RossC

If I go into the Independant Topology mode, then I can command the channels to connect to each other (I am restricted to only connecting 2 channels together at one time in each group of 8). For instance, if I want to connect ch0 and ch7, then I close ch0 and ch7, and leave open the rest. If I want to connect ch0 with ch9, then I will need to close ch0, ch9, and BC01 switches. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. This is usually referred to as implementing a "sparse matrix". Using the BCxx switches, you can connect any two input channels (ch0 to ch31) together in the independent topology mode.
