build-in Self-Test

Ryan, thanks for qucik response. Yeah, I did not know that self-test.vi does not test every detail of the card. What does DMM self-test test then?

Also, how would you test the STROBE and CLK OUT lines. Can I connect them together, and send the signal from CLK OUT to the STROBE which would verify the signal that is sent?
How about connecting the external clock and with PFI lines, verifying their functionality ?

Thanks

1. How can I measure RESISTANCE using PCI 4070 with resistor. How should I connect this resistor in order to calculate the resistance of that resistor?

2. How can I measure FREQUENCY using PCI 4070 with Clock. How should I connect this clock in order to calculate the frequency of that clock?

Or in other works, how can I test the RESISTANCE and FREQUENCY by using the PCI 4070?

Thanks

Hi the_intern,

The PCI 4070 can measure both resistance and frequency.  For both 2-wire resistance measurements and for frequency measurements you would connect one lead to HI input and one to the LO input of the Input VΩ channels as shown below.

The NI Digital Multimeters Help file contains a great deal of information about setting up both types of measurements.  You can find the help file by going to ..All Programs » National Instruments » NI-DMM » Documentation » NI Digital Multimeters Help.  In the help file, you can find the front panel connections for NI DMMs by navigating to Devices » NI 4070 » Front Panel Connections.
