In NI-MAX software:
Tools>>Traditional NI-DAQ Configuration>>Save Configuration As...
Type the name, which you want to use your NI-MAX configuration. For example, type maxcfg_121103.daq
If you want to read the previously saved configuration:
Tools>>Traditional NI-DAQ Configuration>>Set Active Configuration As... and select the stored file. This step can be tricky in some cases. If you do not have administrator privileges on the computer (say, you have Windows-2000), NI-MAX will not read your stored settings. Unfortunately, NI-MAX will not tell you that it did not read the configuration file. So, make sure you have full control of the computer when you work with NI-MAX.
