scxi-1349 versions

Solved!
Go to solution

Hallo all, I have a doubt.

In the past, I'm sure I have seen a document (on NI website or Devzone, but I can't find it now easily), where I read that it is necessary to choose different versions of the SCXI-1349 module, when you use this adapter, connected by a 68 pin cable, with E-Series DAQ or M-Series DAQ. Is it true?

If that is the case, which is the association between the different types of DAQ Board and different versions of the Adapter?

And how can I recognize the version of the adapters I have bought in the past? Searching in some way with the S/N, or watching, for example, a label on the product?

Thank you for your help!

Hi Stefano.

SCXI-1349 is fully compatible both with E-series DAQ and with M-series DAQ.

If you use E-Series DAQ you must connect the card to the connector with SH-68-68-EP cable, indeed you must use SHC-68-68-EPM cable with M-Series DAQ.

For many infos you can chek the following links:

Hi Stefano,

Actually, there was an issue with older revisions of the SCXI-1349 + M Series + parallel mode. This might be the document you were looking for: SCXI Modules Do Not Work When Used with M Series in Parallel Mode. If you're not using parallel mode, this should not affect you.
