How could I use 5431(PXI) to generate video signal in LabWindows/CVI?

Hi,i wanna generate video signal in LabWindows/CVI 7.1 using NI-5431(PXI),but I couldn't find the driver for the video generator.

I have the common ivi & ni driver for NI-FGEN 2,2,1,but i couldn't find the functions like the Video Generator Wizard discribed.

For some reasons,i have to code my app in LabWindows/CVI 7.1,but not the LabVIEW.

How could I get the driver funcionts?

PS: My English is poor,wish i could express my mind clearly.

Hi Ares,

You will need to get a copy of NI-Video 1.0 for CVI in order to get the wizard and video pattern generation functions. I don't see this on the NI web site any more so you may need to contact your local NI representative directly to find out how you can get this toolkit.

Thank you for your quick response.

On your advice,I installed the toolkit disk binding with the module .And i've got the Video Generator Wizard,and  the NI-video 1.0 also.But i can't find the functions in the directory as you say.

I think I need some more help,could you show me the name of the function files?I'll try to google it.

Hi Ares,

Do you have a copy of the CVI support manual for the video toolkit (should be in the install somewhere) there are a number of setups you need to go through to get it all working, these are detailed in chapter 3 of the manual.

Hi Ares,

There are three installation files you need to install.   (1)The NI Fgen driver installation.  (2) NI Video 1.0, which only has LV support for the video function on the NI PXI-5431, and a special (3) CVI support installer which adds the extra files necessary for CVI support.  This third installer does not contain the files that the NI Video 1.0 installer installs.

Please contact your local NI representative directly to find out how you can get this toolkit.
