Hi Towmater,
You can use the Analog or Digital Inputs of the NI ELVIS to input the signal into your vi. In that case you will select the DAQ device that you are using with the NI ELVIS and the terminal where you have it wired. If I misunderstood your question, please post back with more detail on what you are trying to accomplish. The following links could be very helpful in programming with the NI-Elvis and using the Soft Front Panels in the case that you wanted to use one of the built-in functions:
