How to generate Random Noise with PSD profile

Would anyone be able to help me? i am trying to produce a random noise generator that outputs a signal that conforms to a predefined PSD profile.

Are you currently using any NI Hardware? I see that you selected Generators  as the product type but didn't mention anything about the hardware you are using. I await your response to better help you with what you need to implement.

No i am not using any NI hardware, im using two soundblaster cards for I/O.

To clarify my question, im wanting to generate the noise in software and output it using the sound card.

Hi Hamish,

LabVIEW does not have a built-in function that would create a noise signal given the PSD profile. However I would encourage you to take a look at the Signal Processing palette so you may be able to code the functionality yourself. Also I found this link that you may find useful.
