Phase detection

Hi,

I'm using NI-FGEN to control my PXI 5441 AWG.  The generated signal is in turn fed to PXI 5610 upconverter.

Is there a way which I monitor the output phase of my signal thru LabVIEW?

I need this phase as I want to generate a continous phase signal.  ie, I can change the type of signal at any point of them while maintaining the phase.

Are you using Standard Function Generator Mode or Arbitrary Waveform Generation Mode under NI-FGEN? What type of signal you are generating? How are you planning to change phase in your code.

Can you please post section of code which can help us understand better?

Hi,

Sorry for this late reply.  I was caught up with other projects.

I am intending to generate a sweeping sine wave.  ie v(t) = sin(wt + PhaseChange).  This PhaseChange parameter runs in a cycle of -2pi to +2pi .  The PhaseChange will need to be montior because when I want to change the waveform to triangle waveform, I would want it to maintain the last phase which the sine wave was generated.

I should be using Standard Function Generator of NI-FGEN.
