Signal Generator issues when migrating to Windows XP for 6173/2471 ARB card

I am using the Agilent 6173 Arbitrary Function Generator.  Had been using it with CVI under Windows NT.  Recently tried to migrate the operating system to Windows XP and am seeing many issues associated with this card.  In the past these types of issues were associated with a DC offset on the card.  I try to clear any offset prior to using the card in my code, but I get lots of intermittent issues caused by this card.

Has any one done a similar transition to Windows XP and seen these types of issues?  If so, any tips/advice/hints on what you had to do to get past the issue?

Hi,

What issues are you seeing? How are you connecting to this instrument? With GPIB, ethernet or serial?

Do you receive errors when communicating with the instrument or problems with readings you receive? Are you getting a specific error code?

Resolved the issue.  I had not been getting any error messages or anything.  It ended up being a grounding issue with the module.  Previous programmer had removed a ground from the module under test just prior to using the Arbitrary Function Generator.  Once I put this ground back in place the instrument worked as expected.

Thank you for the feedback.
