Signal generator with peak output power of 1 kW

Hello,

Is it possible to build a 13.56 MHz signal generator of the following specifications using NI signal generators, specifically PXI-5650?

Frequency = 13.56 MHz

Frequency stability = +/- 3 ppm

Peak output power = 1 kW

Duty cycle = up to 20%

Pulse width = 100 us

Ouput power selection = 1 dB step (from 100W to 1 kW)

Athough I design measurement and controls systems for biological applications using microcontrollers and related electronics, I'm brand new to this RF stuff. I have some exposure to LabVIEW.

So will this be something out of my league, or would this be doable with support from NI and a few weeks of self-study?

Thanks,

Mohit.

There are many RF power amp manufacturers . If the freq is fixed I would go with a fix freq power source (13.56MHz is quite common) and just control/monitor the output with LabVIEW.
