Syncronizing HSDIO PXI-6552 and PCI-5412 AWG

Hello,

I would like advice on syncronizing a HSDIO PXI-6552 and a PCI-5412 AWG.  I would like to export a trigger from the 6552 to trigger a waveform generated by the PCI5412.

Hi Karl,

Since one device is a PXI device and the other is a PCI device, the only way to send a start trigger is through external connections on the PFI lines for each card. You can use the HSDIO Export Signal.vi to export a start trigger to PFI0 (Front SMB connector) of the 6552. Connect this to the PFI0 of the 5412, and then use this as a start trigger. An FGEN start trigger example (niFgen_Trigger_Example.vi) can be found in the LabVIEW example finder (Help >> Find Examples… >> Hardware Input and Output >> Modular Instruments >> NI-FGEN >> Configuration).
