Creating "driver"/vi for SignalExpress LE

Hi! 

I have an instrument (USB connected) which is sold with only a dll driver and API so you can write your own application using e.g. MS Visual Studio.

Is it possible to write/wrap/create vi or similar to be able to use SignalExpress LE (Note LE!) and access the instrument?

and also had a look at the tutorial "Creating SignalExpress Plugins with LabView" (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3203)

I have LabView myself so I guess doing as explained in the tutorial will work, at least with SignalExpress.

Still, I'm confused. Is it possible to use SignalExpress LE with any custom (own made) driver (is driver the right word)? Or do my customers need to buy SignalExpress?

Hi Nicke,

I would not think that this could work, but I'm not sure. Have you tried?

An alternative could be to do it all in LV instead and not use SignalExpress.
