Duplicate Imported signal express log folders

When I Import Log Data from another SE Project, is there a reason why I couldn't have the option to save a copy of the Log data folders in my current Project's folder? That way if I am analyzing the data in my current Project I don't lose the link if someone relocates the original data folder.

Hi Instech87,

The reason why you cannot save a duplicate is so that you do not unintentionality end up with multiples of the same data. If you would like another copy of the original data simply use a Formula Node and set x0 as the original data and then the formula as y=x0. Then you can select enable recording on the result of the formula node and run the playback. This should create an exact copy of the original data that you can use with your project even when the original is moved.

I sometimes create a separate Project for post process analyzing data after the completion of a test.  In these cases, I am potentially Importing Log data from various locations.  For the purpose of Analysis, I would prefer to have a copy of the Log data folders used in the Analysis Project saved in the same folder as the Analysis Project.  I don't see a problem with having multiple copies of the Log Folders so long as the Log names are unique and descriptive of the data sets.

I had intended this post to be part of the "Post your improvement ideas & suggestions for future Signal Express releases" thread.  This is the first time I had posted to the Forum and I got it in the wrong place.  I later got the post to the intended thread. Thanks for your response.  Please consider my original post as a product improvement suggestion.  Thanks.
