Evaluation - Importing a Signal from a File

Hi,

I am trying out SignalExpress 2011 in Evaluation mode.  The only steps I see in Project Vew and "Add Steps" are to "Aquire Signals" and "Generate Signals".

Did I miss something in the installation?

thanks,

bk

Click on Tools>Options...>General. Be sure that "Show unlicensed steps" is enabled.

"Show Unlicensed step" = Yes.

I actually downloaded the NI Drivers pack for 2011, went through the install (and installed Signal Express 2010) and everything seemed to work.  I messed around with it for a  bit last week, but then when I went to open it today, only "Aquire Signals" and "Generate Signals" are available again.

Can you think of something else to try?  Thanks for your help.

Hi bk,

I think maybe your version is not licensed properly and the evaluation mode has expired. If you open the NI License Manager (Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI License Manager) you can check the status of your SignalExpress license. Expand the listing for SignalExpress and check to see if there is a dark green square next to either Full Version or Limited Edition, and also see if there is a serial number listed for whichever one has the dark green square.

If it is not activated (no dark-green square), you can right-click the version and select "Activate" then try to use your serial number from your LabVIEW installation to activate SignalExpress.
