I am trying to use my USB-6210 as a simple digital volt meter. I need to measure 5 or 6 voltages all referenced to the same point. I have tried the simple graphing interface on Signal Express but would prefer a digital readout. I would be looking at very slowly moving signals. Is there a simple solution out there somewhere that would require little setup on my part?
Thanks...

Hi,
If SignalExpress is displaying your results in a chart, you should be able to right-click on the chart and expand the "View As" submenu, to select a different viewer to use. The "Table" view might be more useful to you, or perhaps a few "Large Display"s.
Note that the Large Display will also show 1 signal, so you may want to create multiple Large Displays, 1 for each signal.

Phil,
Thank you for your help. When I right click on the chart and expand the "View AS" submenu, the only options I see are "Waveform Graph" (which is checked) and "XY Graph". Oddly enough, both of these options are greyed out. What am I missing? I'm guessing that the "Large Display" would be a great solution if I can get there. Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Paavo

Hi Paavo,
So I misunderstood. I was thinking that your simple volt aquisition was a single-point acquisition, not a waveform. The options I mentioned are for single-point only. If you measurement can be changed to a single-point acquisition instead of a waveform, you would be able to see the options I mentioned.
Regarding the greyed out option, if you are only viewing 1 signal on the graph, the viewer will not let you switch to the XY viewer, which needs at least 2 signals to be effective. But either way, the XY viewer is also a waveform viewer and will not really help you.

Phil,
I did not realize I needed to do a single sample that could be repeated at the sample rate specified. I changed to the step configuration to "1 Sample", set the sample period to 500 mS, then ran continuously. That enabled me to use the Large Display option. I'm on my way now! Thanks for your help.

Wonderful! I'm glad that is working for you!
