Hi:
Equipment in use:
Tektronix DMM4050, GPIB address set to 01
NI GPIB-USB-HS
SignalExpress2.5.1 Tektronix Edition (came with DMM)
Background:
GPIB USB adapter works great with my Yokogawa WT210 Power Meter.
Problem:
In SignalExpress, there is no predefined step for the DMM4050. I tried Acquire IVI DMM, but the Instrument Driver combobox is empty. It generates the following Configuration Error:
----------------------------------
Error -1074130425 occurred at ivi_IviDmm Initialize With Options.vi
Possible reason(s):
Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA1207) Primary Error: (Hex 0xBFFA1207) The item does not exist in the collection.
----------------------------------
Question:
How do I make this thing talk?
Thanks

Hi David,
What version of the Tektronix DMM4050 drivers are you using? You can find them here:
http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=16512
After I hear back from you we'll go from there. Thanks.

Never mind. Tektronix tech support pointed me to the proper step driver file on their server. Took awhile to find, but it's at:
It's a self-extracting installshield that adds a DMM4050 Step to the Tektronix/Acquire Signals list in Add Step.
I added it to the project, I picked the GPIB0::1::INSTR VISA resource, and by golly, it just works!
Cheers,
David
