Hi,
while developing a near infrared spectroscope for my masterthesis i collected data with the evaluation version of signalexpress on a NI PCI-6229 card. Several projects were saved with the fileextension .seproj at the companys pc. At home i have no NI PCI-6229 but thought that wouldnt matter, i installed signalexpress eval and the daq drivers and wanted to open my files to export the data to matlab but got the following errors when opening the files:
"the following project contains protocols that point to deleted files. To run the project please restore the following files (this was translated by me from german):
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_141817\Spannung.tdms
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_141817\Spannung.tdms_index
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_141817\Spannung_meta.txt
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_142419\Spannung.tdms
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_142419\Spannung.tdms_index
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\DittrichK\Eigene Dateien\SignalExpress Data\20_03_2012_142419\Spannung_meta.txt"
when i search for these files they are not on my computer. At the moment i have no chance to run my projects at the companys computer again so i have to get these files running on my computer!!
PLS HELP, i fear i lost the data of 8 months of hard work!!
Thank you!
K.D.

Hi K.Data,
could you provide use some more information like a screenshot or the project which you want to open and produced the error message? Without further information, it is really difficult to imagine the root cause for your problem.

Hi K.D.,
Have you export your project with TDMS files? Or you can try to find them in your user documentation folder like "\Users\<UserName>\Documents\SignalExpress Data".

By default, SignalExpress saves your log files in your <Documents>\SignalExpress Data folder on your computer. They are not saved in the *.seproj file. If you go back to the original computer the data was taken on, it should still be there. Copy the entire folder of each log either to your <Documents>\SignalExpress Data folder on the new computer, or right next to the *.seproj file. SignalExpress can find it in both locations.
You can change the default location in the Tools>>Options>>Logging menu of SignalExpress.
