Simultaneous open copies of same Project

There is not anything in SE that prevents a Project from being opened/modified simultaneously from two different PC's. I am thinking of a scenario where a technician has the Project open and is actively acquiring data when an engineer opens the same Project from his desk to review data. I know with Word or Excel you can only open a "read only" copy of the file if it is already open somewhere else. Unfortunately in SE, you can load the project up multiple times but when saving changes, it's the last one that saved which wins. This does not seem to be a desireable situation.

Batch Log Deletions

The ability to select (Control-Click) several Logs in the Project and delete them simultaneously in one step.  Currently you must delete them one at a time or delete all of the Logs in the Project.

Delete the Log Folder from the drive without having to exit Signal Express

I would like the choice to delete the Log Folder from the drive immediately (maybe an option in the pull down menu to remove deleted Log Folders from disk).  I want to be able to reuse the Log name of a deleted Log without getting the auto-incremented version of it.  I know that the reason for the current functionality is to allow the user to recover an accidentally deleted Log.  They would still have this option if the "immediate deletion" were a separate menu selection.

Limit Test Step "Failed Signal" as a Waveform

I was able to use the Limit Test Step to extract values from a signal that were above a threshold.  However, I could not perform additional calculations on the Failed Signal output because SE uses NaN's as placeholders in the signal.  Instead of using NaN's, couldn't the Threshold Limit value be used?  This would allow the user to perform further calculations on the Failed Signal output such as Statistics or Amplitude and Levels.

More Operator Interface Parameter Options

I would like to use the Operator Interface more but there are too many parameters that can't be controller via this interface.  Examples are the Tone Extraction Advance tab controls and the Save to ASCII/LVM Export File Path.  Ideally, I would be able to access all parameters for all the Signal Express Steps via the Operator Interface.

Peak/Valley Detection:

There's Min/Max detection but I find it very useful to view or save Peaks and Valleys. The difference being, Peak/Valley would update during every cycle of a waveform whereas min/max only updates if there's a higher max or lower min value than what was detected earlier.

This would be especially useful when acquiring load or strain data for cyclic fatige or transient drive signals.

Ability to link CURSOR values Step inputs:

Cursors as Interactive Configuration.PNG

X1 and X2 cursors on waveform graph serve as start and stop inputs to waveform subset.

X1 and X2 cursors on spectrum graph serve as start and stop for power in band measurement.

Y1 cursor on spectrum graph serve as threshold for spectrum peak search.

X1, Y1, X2, Y2 cursors on any graph could be input to Formula Step

More LabVIEW Express VIs available in Signal Express

I just had an application where the Curve Fitting Express VI in LabVIEW did exactly what I needed but it is not directly available in Signal Express.  I know that it can be implemented as a Run LabVIEW VI step but this creates complications relating to software validation.  I don't know what percentage of LabVIEW Express VIs are available in Signal Express but ultimately I would expect them all to be (since LabVIEW Express VIs are the basis of SE).  I know that Signal Express R&D has been working on this but I don't see that any new functions were added to Signal Express 2011.  Will there be more progress on this front for SE2012?
