Signal Express background color of data display

In Signal Express is there any way to change the background color of the data display?

Yes, but you need a signal present to "unlock" it.  With a signal in the viewer, right-click and select Properties.  Select the Scales tab.  On the bottom right there is a section called Grid Style and Colors.  BG Color will do what you want.
